While working in the fitness industry for almost a decade, I’ve been privileged to work with hundreds of women, each of whom have a different fitness journey and reason for getting started (or restarted) on it.

Along the way, I’ve learned a lot about what works and what doesn’t when getting started on your own fitness journey and that’s why I put my new e-book together for you! There’s a lot of misinformation out there and a lot of noise and to be quite frank with you, I know what works.

So, let’s dive into a few of my top tips if you’re getting started on your fitness journey too!

When getting started on your fitness journey, the very first thing each and every one of my clients does is understand why they’re getting started. Now, it’s your turn to do the same. WHY are you wanting to do this? What’s your purpose for starting? Who are you doing it for? When you fundamentally understand this, when things get tough and thoughts of wanting to quit cross your mind, you’ll use this ‘why’ to help you keep going!

More times than not, we often have others in our life that will be positively impacted by the change we’re making too, for instance our family, our children, our grandchildren or even our friends. Take all of this into consideration when creating your why.

Action Activity: Write down in a fresh, new notebook what your WHY is. Who and what are you getting started or re-started on your fitness journey for? Refer back to this when things get tough. We’ll talk more about your WHY in pages to come!
